Ted Warren, MA

Drummer, Composer, Private Music Teacher

Ted has been playing and teaching drums for over 40 years.

He started when he was 10 years old when he found his dad's drum kit in the basement. He hasn't stopped playing since.

He has studied music extensively through post-secondary education and on his own. He most recently graduated with a Master's Degree in Community Music through Laurier University.

He has taught all ages and levels extensively -- from toddlers to seniors -- in private, camp and post-secondary settings.

He has played and recorded with the "Who's Who" of the Canadian Jazz and Music scene. You can find many videos online that feature his playing.

He has become well-known by teens and 20-somethings for his musical contribution on the award-winning video game, Cuphead

He believes every student is unique, and he strives to help them find their own style and voice. He also challenges his students to grow beyond their comfort zone and learn about the lineage and history of many musical greats.

He also believes we are all lifelong learners of music, here to cross-inspire each other on the creative path. He is always learning more from his students' perspectives and growth.
